ANT privacy policy
ANT (Anteater Network Tuner) is an unofficial fan-built player for KUCI 88.9 FM. It is not run by or affiliated with KUCI or UC Irvine. This policy covers the ANT app on Android and iOS.
What ANT collects
Nothing. ANT has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no crash reporting. The developer does not collect, store, or share any personal data.
What stays on your device
Your theme and color choices are saved on your device only. They are never sent anywhere.
Network requests
ANT contacts these servers to work:
-
streamer.kuci.org: the live audio stream and the ON AIR status check. -
kuci.org: show artwork, and the show pages you choose to open. -
google.com: a small connectivity check, sent only when KUCI's status check fails, to tell "no internet" apart from "the station is down".
As with any internet connection, those servers can see your IP address. ANT sends them no account or personal information. Their own policies govern what they do with that. Show pages open in your phone's own browser view, so ANT cannot see what you do on them.
Permissions
ANT plays audio in the background, so the stream keeps going with the screen off and shows controls on your lock screen. It does not use your microphone, camera, location, or contacts.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above will change with it.
